Honeyed, rich, creamy and juicy - this pulls no punches. Lots of layered dairy flavour, giving creaminess in both texture and flavour. Good length with pear and peach, finishing with a slightly salty character.

16,5/20 Punkte: Traismauer Alte Reben Grüner Veltliner 2024

Peppery spice, pear fruit, apple skin, peach and jasmine. Expressive, smooth and lengthy with decent concentration and a broad brush of fruit.

16,5/20 Punkte: Brigos Bergen Grüner Veltliner 2023

More creamy flavour than their Traismauer 2024, and a dried-straw flavour adds interest, too. Lovely expression of place, where the Grüner Veltliner personality is matched by distinctive gout de terroir.

Esoteric nose which has a white-cheese scent, and ripe pear fruit which is edged with bruising. Fleshy and soft, without the definition and purity of their Brigos Bergen.

Ripe nose but palate is jagged and tart with acid that leaves a sour twang on the finish. Medium body, short finish.

15/20 Punkte: Venusberg Grüner Veltliner Klassik 2024

Fresh, light, clean and green. It's on the neutral side with light body, but it's a balanced and satisfying dring with green apple, yellow citrus and semi-glossy texture.
